November 2008 Return to Bawdy Vaudeville Live at the Darress Theatre!
The Enchanted Players bring back Vaudeville at it's bawdy best !! Join us as we step back to the time of the 1910's, 20's, & 30's with acts that Performance dates are: Please note this show is for a mature audience only.
juggle, perform magic, sing, dance and make you laugh with hilarious comedy
skits from this era. With the experience and talent of Director Jay Mills and
musical direction by the accomplished Regan Ryzuk, the Darress Theatre
will be transformed into the original Vaudeville house, for which it was built.
During the vaudeville era, the Darress Theater hosted such notable
entertainers as Al Jolson, Abbott and Costello, Burns and Allen,
and Harry Houdini. The Darress also is a historically significant architectural
monument as one of the only, and possibly the last, "reverse entrance theaters" still in operation in the country.
